Re: Anyone used these?
Lol I bet they look daft though? More ripply than steel?
Re: Anyone used these?
I've heard paint is hard to match in on GRP wings.
However, it wont rot which is the main consideration for everyday use Marinas.

Re: Anyone used these?
as phil said though.....quality is probably shocking for that money......sonme of the repro grp stuff i used to use doing up beetles/campers was utter junk.....had a 72 fastback variant which came to me withe grp fronts on......was so far out of whack that the bonnet just couldnt be made to line up right no matter what you did

Re: Anyone used these?
It'd be interesting to see a Marina that has some fitted and painted up.

Hows about this then.... Smith & Deakin wings....Philip wrote:It'd be interesting to see a Marina that has some fitted and painted up.

The classic car movement needs Jeremy Clarkson like Jenson Button needs a towhitch and a Sprite Musketeer....
Re: Anyone used these?
They look ok. Were they pricey? What do they look like in real life? Is that a dent in the front tip or a shadow?

Re: Anyone used these?
Good question. Does not look like a shadow, may even be a filler repair where it has sunken below the surface of the wing.Philip wrote:Is that a dent in the front tip or a shadow?
Re: Anyone used these?
Where did you get them? Can you still get them? Can you fit them for me?

Re: Anyone used these?
Smith and Deakin have a website, I looked yesterday. I think they were £85 each. I guess they are glued on. I think ,y wings are saveable but I don't know for sure. If I posted up some closer pics do you think you guys may be able to tell?

Re: Anyone used these?
or you could buy the car on ebay in croydon
front end damage but comes with a pair of brand new steel wings. and then sell the car for cheap - as if you pay £85 for a grp wing thats £170 for a pair
you could also then compare cars and never know you might need other bits off the car

Re: Anyone used these?
I would do but haven't got anywhere to put it. Also, I haven't got the heart to scrap a car. Never mind a car as scarce as a Marina!
Re: Anyone used these?
Plus the steel ones will rot eventually. For an every day car grp is probably the best option.
