Best not to ask on forum martin because if the name ben gets mentioned or if the truth is close to the bone then the topic gets pulled. The forum management on here does not believe in freedome of speech and only want one half of a story to be herd (their side only) sean

Jesus F**cking christ why is it that i have to read sh*t like you two sounding off against each other on this post as well. Its pathetic, all this stupid slagging off back and forth between MMOC and Ecosse, everyone is as much to blame as each other as no one seems to have the ability to just drop it. This forum was, and is, as far as i can tell not supposed to be directly club related in any way so why is there alll this moaning.

I really wonder whether you all stop to think what people who are not club members (of either club) but who read this forum think of all this stupidity, especially people who may be looking at joining either club. Alongside that some of us who read this might actually enjoy it if all this crap wasnt on the forum as it really sours the rest of it.

Topics have been pulled as the comments on them are not only putting both groups in a bad light to new potential members who look at the site and make everyone look slightly petty and vindictive (and yes I am including myself in that everyone), but are also launching personal attacks on other members of this forum which is unacceptable.

The decision will have to made to either take everything off site or to have a proper discussion and with this I mean a reasonable and adult conversation where points are laid out on the table in a fair manner. This discussion should not be about personal grudges but on how the two groups can work together for what is essentially the same purpose - to promote Marianas and Itals throughout the United Kingdom.

The discussion would have to be mediated (not moderated) by someone to ensure that comments were kept valid. This person would have to remain unbiased and would not be allowed to input anything into the discussion but mearly to oversee events were held in a dignified manner.

I am sure everyone is fed up of being "censored" and that everyone is equally annoyed about the general atmosphere that is currently on the site and resulting in, perhaps, members not feeling welcome on the site or not wishing to post based on the replies and comments they have seen on here. This post should not be taken to be aimed at anyone is particular, I think it is clear that people from both groups have got carried away and acted in manner that is undignified and inappropriate.

As you can see I am more than willing to allow people to share their thoughts and to get this situation if not resolved then at least to a certain mutal repect, however it will not be done in the childish manner it has been done and it will be done in a way that sets out to put out the fire not throwing more oil on to it.

just my 2 cents worth
forums WILL need to be modified - i've seen trying unmodified forums many times - it will sooner or later get to personal attcks etc. I don't think this has so much to do with the people on the forum as the media itself. remember when writing you loose the all important issue of hearing the message, seeing the glimp in the eye etc etc. What i'm trying to say that it is very difficult to try to be "funny" on a forum as you never know how the receipent gets the message...

That said all forums i've been on so far from time to time gets issues as last night (although i just saw the earliest messages before logging out).

On a more personal note i never expected this forum to be totally free speech were i could air ALL my thoughts and opinions, I guess there are plenty of possibilities to do that in other fora/mediums.

Albeit i can see why you (ben) soemtimes get fed up i don't think taking this forum down is the solution (or at least i hope not) i think you will find that we all are here because of the marina/ital interest.

Surely it is quite simple really everyone, all we have to do is to stop sniping about each respective club and just get on with the business in hand...keeping our cars on the road, i`m sure if Marina Ecosse can stop saying how much better their club is than the MMOC , i`m sure the MMOC can stop reacting in the same manner, perhaps the penalty for breaking this rule on the forum should be expulsion from the forum as a registered user, after a judgement from the rest of the moderators and registered users, what do you think?
