Disused Marina spotted - possibly available to buy?

Post by Neal » Tue May 11, 2010 6:19 pm

Hi all, I'm not a Marina owner, nor do I particularly want to be, but I am an old car enthusiast and hate to see them left to rot.

This might be a bit cheeky but while out and about recently I've spotted a Marina parked in someone's front garden down a rural lane in North Somerset. Looks like it's been stood for quite some time. Sort of tucked out of the way behind a hedge.

Just thought someone on here might like to know and approach the owner if it's any good?

You can just see the rear end of it in this Google Streetview image:

I've blocked out the street name as I guess it's not really fair to post the address etc., but if anyone is interested, PM me and I'll let you know where it is.

Hi, Very kind of you to think of this and post it up for us.
Do you have any other information like Model, colour age etc?
Also I am struggling to see it in the picture at all :?
Is there a better angle or picture or could you highlight it?
Cheers,
Paul.

No other details, just spotted it as I cycled past the other day.

It's right in the centre of the picture, the rear end just poking out from behind the bush!

Save the image to my desktop and I can now see all of the picture!
I could only see up to the crossed out sign post so no Marina in the picture at all.
Its an early MK1 as it has the lower reversing lamps!
Colour looks like Harvest Gold or the other one which is similar. May even be Taxed exempt.

Thanks for sorting out the picture Chris. Got me worried there for a moment, thought I was going to have to back to Specsavers and complain   .

This could be a new past time for members of this forum - find as many Marinas as possible - only using Google Earth! 1 nil to Neal. :D
