Clutch Fluid Reservoir

Post by Billy Shears » Tue May 18, 2010 6:56 pm

Dear All

My clutch reservoir is bone dry and a wet patch has appeared under the car
Any ideas where it could be leaking from and is this a common fault?
Car is a 1974 1.3 Coupe Manual

Thanks, Bills

Well if it is outside the car and not on the carpet, then I would imagine the slave has leaked unless you have a hole in the clutch pipe!

The Club is reconditioning them I think, you need to speak to Chris Weedon (Marinacoupe)
Failing that Ebay normally has a couple but prices are going up!

you should be able to verify where the fluid is coming from first by jacking up the car and checking for damp seals on the slave. If there are drips there then that is probably the problem
