Type 9 kit
Anyone got a type 9 conversion kit? The Ital's 'box is getting very rough, just wondering if there were any still about.....
The classic car movement needs Jeremy Clarkson like Jenson Button needs a towhitch and a Sprite Musketeer....
Re: Type 9 kit
It is a kit to help fit a Ford type 9 5-speed gearbox instead of the 4-speed; someone on here had some but I don't know if they still have or not....

I was waiting for marinacoupe to pop up but he hasnt.
Yes conversions are still available. If you are interested have a look at www.5speedmarina.com for all the info.
I have a bell housing at the machine shop at the moment that is almost ready for a sale or return.
This will make the initial work quicker though there will be some down time whilst a gearbox mount, propshaft etc. are fitted.
Chris has all the necessary info for a Marina install, I have concentrated on Kit car conversions, contact Chris through 5speedmarina website.

Re: Type 9 kit
Hello evrybody peeps, been away for the weekend.
Yes still have two Type 9 conversion plates as Steve says. Someone asked what they were, Steve and I have designed and had made up some adaptors to fit a Ford V6 Type 9 gearbox to the back of a Marina bellhousing, no change to the Marina clutch mechanism at all.
Designed to fit 1.8 B series and 1.7 O series, but I reckon with a slight modification will also fit 1.3 A series. We sell the plates for £99.99 and reckon that you can be on the road for about £450 all in.
