Since we are having a poll on marina & ital, how about one on model types.

I like the vans cos you can buy big things at auto jumbles and take them home with you and also it saves pitching a tent in the pissing rain at rally’s if your staying over

:) Oh it is also handy if your tent is missing its poles eh Stu!

I like the Estate best because not only can it handle passengers it also can take great loads - on a few occasions I needed to transport spare wheels for my London bus - no problem for the Marina. With wide wheels it ,Mk2 bumpers on a MK1 car, it is also the most timelessly stylish Marina.
The short front doors on the coupe take some getting used to (especially for backseat pasengers!), and anybody that has never seen a Marina saloon before tends to comment that the rear axle looks so far forward as to unbalance the look of the car. The only negative comment I have ever heard about estates is that the wheels look un-naturally small and skinny - otherwise its a really cool retro ride these days.........

Saloon, has to be a rusty 1300 MK1 or a blaze red TC- now that's cool!

If i`m honest i would say the Saloon because i think the lines on a Saloon are perfectly perportioned and `clean`, but i am fond of the Coupe and the Pick-up...lets face it if you really like the Marina, they all look good 8)

Hard choice this one....

Love the styling of the Estate.

Don't like the coupe, too bland, something missing..... Perhaps a hatchback....?

Saloon, more practical than a coupe for a family man.

Van, love the frenched in rear lights and the way the door is scollaped into the roof line and rear quarter.

More than a passing resemblence to a Mk1 Escort from certain rear angles.

For me though, the modded Van is a winner.

Shove loads in the back; kids, wife, tent etc etc.

The Mrs can make a fresh brew whilst you drive and with the curtains drawn the porter potty is useful as you don't need to stop!!!

Freshly cooked bacon butty on the M5 anyone?!

Sun Tor, thankyou.
