Brake Master Cylinder

I'm not sure if you'll be able to help or not, but since you guys hopefully know more than anyone in the Marina world I think its got to be my best option.
Firstly the part isn't for a marina, but the car does use the marina pedal box etc. so I hope thats not to much of an issue.
I have a problem in that my brake master cylinder (dual feed - with wedge shaped resevoir) has failed in a major way, so now I need a new/replacement part.

Can any of you recommend a supplier of marina brake master cylinders, or failing that a replacement cylinder that could be used if the marina ones are no longer available? Everywhere that I have tried has either no record of the part or no availability of stock.

Any help you can supply will be greatly appreciated.

Depending on where you happen to be on the planet, the best option may be to have it reconditioned.
Here in NZ the local resleeving service fit stainless liners to the bore of the cylinder, then fit new seals, and the end result is probably more durable than the original.
They have also been able to rebuild my booster units, so those parts appear to still be available too.

The same goes in the UK. Past Parts Ltd., in Bury St.Edmunds will recondition any hydralics for you.

If you want buy new, visit Rimmer Bros website, the same units were used on Dolomites.

I need an brake master cylinder for my marina 1,8 1972.
I get confused at Rimmer Bros, not sure what to order. there are a lot of differnt dolomite brakes!

since your located in sweden i take it your car is an original swedish import from 72. As thus it uses different master cyl. than the uk cars. You will need to source a dual circuit master. It's the same as on SOME period export maxi's - albeit the pushrod against the servo is different on some maxi's. The complete master is rather scarce to find as on uk cars it was only used on the TCs. The INNARDS of theme is pretty common to many cars. Most available on ebay will be the allegro MC rep.kit as the allegro was dual circuit in the uk. Could usually be picked up for less than a tenner. Your next best option is to hand it over to a company that specialise in brakes - they shouldn't have a problem rebuilding it as the innards are standard dimensions from girling at the time.

I have snatched these images from a Lucas Girling electronic catalogue that I have, it lists the cars and parts numbers. The master cylinder is no longer listed but the seal kit is.

So what you need is the SP2465 - available from Rimmer Bros etc.

I may have to go with OD parts if i bore it out myself. I will check domestic suppliers for repairkits.
