2lt sprint conversion

hey all got givin a 2lt 16v sprint engine and gear box. has anyone done this conversion with this engine into a marina aND IF YOU HAVE any pics or tips would be great cheers oz

Hi, I am sure I have seen pics of a black Coupe with Ital lights and grille with this done??

i havn't done the spint conversion but i have done the 1850 into a MK 1 although hooked up to a TR7 5 speed
the bad news is no pics but there is a little video on you tube that the new owner has put up.
modifications i had to do, bearing in mind that we have the OHC 'E' series engine
shifted the engine mount to the back holes on the chassis
cut-shut and bent the original engine brackets off the triumph and then put skinny but tough rubber mounts in
skinny electric fan in front of radiator
scollopped out the chassis rail to accomodate the solinoid on the prengauged starter might not have to do this if you use the
bendix type stater and the marina solinoid (i had my original solinoid wired up as a relay)
thats it really, for my personal preference i put an electric (faucet) fuel pump in.
the TR7 gearbox was more of a challenge as it was too high to fit the tunnel which had to be cut and 25mm added to it, but thats another story :D
