HL... *cough* sorry caught me off guard Matt! That would certainly be worth the journey to see it on the road along side Steve Moss's HL.

What extras would those be then Chris? Did you mean the rear seat belts, the front and rear fog lights, the alarm and immobiliser or did you mean the Kenlowe fan or was it really the Smiths Electroglide windows or the Cruise Control that you meant.

Ben

That was the plan anyway Ben but having seen Steve's car at the National it really has to be done.I couldn't believe how few Mk 2's were there on Sunday.Mine isn't as nice as Steve's but I'll be quite happy if it makes it.All we need now is a couple of GT's

So Gary what with this new toy I'm guessing you're not going to have enough time for the Mumford anymore? If you really insist I guess I could give it a home here....

10 out of 10 for effort Josh. Unfortunately for you the Mumford is going nowhere. The new toy is going to be my daily driver so that I don't have to cycle a stupid amount of miles to get to work. Hopefully the Mumford will be moved back into my own centre and work can be resumed in the dry. Paul, I hope you didn't think that I meant I was bringing the Mumford. I would really like to but it's not quite there yet. If I had everything to hand I think there is about a weeks work left on her.

Definitely won't be at the show in mine as I can't get it welded until after the show and don't want to risk driving up to Peterborough on the current spring hanger.
Will have to pester a few other people to see if I can get a lift

At the moment Paul I need, from what I can remember, Exhaust, carburettors, the interior is still to be paid for, the roof is still to be sorted, rear drive shafts and bearings, choke cable, rear underiders still to be chromed, rear side window to be made, prop needs to be connected, 1 brake pipe still to be fitted, new switchs to be scourced and then just the general tinkering around to get things running so not a great deal but a fair few pennies still needing to be found and the time to fit it in. I'll get there in the end but it will take some time me thinks

Have you tried Pilkington on the Isle of Sheppey for the glass?
There was a chap at the National who owned a yellow Mumford and was restoring it and he has a similar problem with his. I think it was one of the side windows broken and Gary Dunster was chatting to him.
Maybe worth going in together to see if the price is better?
I have contact details so let me know.

My Mumford needs new rear side glass so I'd be more than happy to chip in for a larger order. The hood is well goosed and the frame is suspect as well.If It helps Gary I'd certainly be interested in ordering bits to keep the cost down. The Mumford near me needs rear glass as I recall so we might be able to sort something out

information about Pilkington (They bought out Triplex)
The contact name you need to ask for is Peter Swann.
His title is General Manager – After Market Operations.
Tel. 01795 596106
Mob. Tel. 07802 204589
Email –
peter.swann@pilkington.com
Be good to know if they can help.
It has been a while since I spoke to them so I hope he is still there. At least a side window is easier to handle compared to a windscreen
