Sam's Broken her car...

Post by ClaytonSpeed » Mon Oct 08, 2007 9:57 pm

The master cylinder has burst on JBL. I've got two boxes of brand new Lockheed master cylinders but no Girling ones ( the one it currently is). Can I fit the Lockheed? Or has anyone got one spare? I don't mind rebuilding this one if I can get a seal kit.

Muchos appreciated!

Oh dear Sam, you could fit the Lockheed one if you changed the Servo as well Ben  , but it might just fit anyway if you are lucky

I didn't break anything :( I think she was just tired and wanted a rest.... or Ben wants the house to himself and was trying to kill me off!

Rev counter works when you break which is strange and occasionally will madly flail about and then go back to doing nothing much. After the radio saga I didn't really feel up to taking the dash apart more.

hehehe ok I know where the keys are so I will just have to wait for him to pop out for a bit  I could also half inch the master cylinder while I was at it!

Hi Sam, Is yours a single line master cylinder? if so, I have a brand new replacement one for the girling system. it's not an original Girling item but a Moprod one, so it does look a bit different. I bought it to keep as a spare for my TC which has lockheed brakes as I thought it may fit. I'd be happy to do a swap for a lockheed type if you like
