uh oh Sam was let loose with CSS....

I am sure a few of you (maybe) will think the forum looks a bit bland, especially as it is the default and looks like a lot of other phpbb forums (the dolly one for example). So I would like to change the look and would like any imput - preferably constructive imput!

To see what controls what in the lovely fun of CSS I have made a tealish/limeflower-but-more-just-pea-green (I'm tired and colour matching exactly through hex codes is reeeeaaallly boring) template which is accessable through

Profile -> third section down Preferences -> then there is a drop down box for board style and select the other option there (teal&limeflower) and then hit submit at the bottom of the page.

To change back to the default repeat above steps and select subSilver.

Would people like some more BL themed combos or something less... garish  The phpbb logo will be changed eventually but you have to directly edit the style sheets for that and I may leave that to Ben in case I accidentally delete something important.. like the forum.....

Also sorry if it looks weird in IE, I try not to use it out of principal! And yes it's teal and limeflower as it reminds me of my car

Yes very colourful!
You have to be careful with colours so the text (Important bit) is still readable
But I guess if you don't want it you can still select the old background so no one will get upset
I think Citron will go well with those colours :o

Yeah I was trying to make it so it was very readable, but I am aware that women generally can distinguish between colours much better than men (And I am not making that up! http://www.news-medical.net/?id=4472) what may be very easy for me to read may not be easy for others!

The green blue was just a trial run (and I like it because it's crazy!) I will whack a few more up later, You fancy a jubilee themed one then  I dunno if my eyes will take a lot of citroen yellow

Needs to be BL Colours!!! Also when it is finalised it can only be on a modified subsilver template. Otherwise the code won't work right!

yeah the only thing you will need to change is the image and add a banner at the top if you like, that shouldn't affect the layout at all, just shunt things downwards a bit.

I was reading the page source the other day (how sad am I.... oh wait you all still play with cars ) and the full CSS is much more comprehensive you can change all the thickness of lines and whatever but I am just using the inbuilt editor that just changes the hex values for the preset parameters.

Changing the logo should just involve changing the link - or uploading the image to the server and linking it from there and if you wanted to add a banner I think in theory you could put it above the main frame in table 1 so won;t affect any of the other parameters....

The logo is just a case of replacing one file. To add a banner I have written some code for that.

I was thinking of that actually... but the purple would require a light font colour and vice versa and I'm not sure if I can change it in all the right places! But I will try when I next have a few mins!

And you can say you don't like it Al, I won't cry.... much
