Mumford register, who's got what and where?..

Post by minispeedstar » Fri Oct 12, 2007 9:50 pm

I've got a list of 22 mumford's i've known of and seen pics of, but only know of the locations of prob about 10 now...

Would be good to keep an up to date register?
If a link was changed to "ebay linky" then that was probably Sam, because she's sad..

I agree Dude! With the register!
I have some listed but probably only the ones you have!
I have got some fun out of tracking down the Jubilee's and it is only for my own sense of satisfaction.
It is interesting to see where they are and when I started on Jubilee's ther eonly seem to be about 4 or 5 maybe 7 but now I know of 10 or 11!!
Not all on the road mind

registers

8) i seem to remember a few years back that certain members held a register of cars. i think andy jones looked after the mk1 register but i dont know who done mk2 and mk3. andy morris had the ital register. whether that is still on the go now i dont know but i would assume it would be a good idea now to resurrect it.

8) dont know about any politics involved paul but we have got to have some sort of register or database of who has got what and how many of each mark there are out there. they seem to be turning up on ebay lately maybe due to the fact that they read in the papers how rare they are and are just cashing in. it would be nice to know how many from j to b are surviving.

8) what you say is very true paul..the database should be in place already as an application form is filled in when you join the mmoc, but we all change our cars from time to time ( me especially ) so it would be hard to keep track of where they are. i suppose as gary said earlier a mumford and jubilee register would be feasible as not many survive now. even a van register would be possible. who knows maybe too much for one person to take on so we will never really know the true figures............would be good though.

you got to give us more than 1 hour to answer .....??

i agree with larry & paul that a register would be nice.
i could volounteer to keep it /update it - no probs (it's usually a big job at once then not so much - and i've done something similar before)
i also think that a register which store say 50% of the cars are better than none at all.

ok wouldn't go into that
Anyway here's the info in the norwegian register (triumphs) which i set up years ago:
public
make/model/year/ch#/reg#/colour/engine/interior
none public
owner/address/

i'm not familiar with uk data-acts/laws but in norway as long as joining the register is volounteererly and the register do not display rase/religion/health-info/political stuff then there is no need for a permit to keep/register and share this information.

Hi Gary, see how many you can come up with, and perhaps someone could take on other models such as vans, pick ups etc, as Larry said it would be good to know how many are actually left out there

I'll take on the Sun Tor part. Not so hot on computers but if folk's are willing to email me the data I'll compile a list in some kind of format and email it on....

That way we can keep a data base on here somewhere?

I can see the view of storing this kind of data being a problem to some though...

DPA and all that...

May need some further research before embarked on seriously. :)
