Re: MMOC National Show 2012 - Road Run Update

Post by MarinaCoupe » Mon May 28, 2012 9:48 pm

The start point has moved from Flixton Museum, to the lay-by on the A143 next to The Horseshoe Pub, Lower Street, Billingford, IP21 4HL. The Horseshoe will be open for refreshments for those who want a coffee or a drink beforehand, please meet at the lay-by at 12.30pm for a 1.00pm start.

We'll go from The Horseshoe to The 100th Bomber Group Museum at Dickleburgh at Thorpe Abbotts (admission free), we have arranged a great photo opportunity in front of the control tower. We then motor on to Southwold on the coast with time to park, paddle and/or fish and chips.

More details to follow on the website once confirmed.

I was hoping to come to the show as a guest (if it was allowed) however just realised this is the same time as the Lemans Classic which i'm off to in my t'other car (wish me luck)
Anyways can I ask a favour ? - if there are any Itals for sale can you obtain the details of the seller and take a picture if possible for me. This would be very much appreciated.. Thanks Si

Hope the weather keeps fine for thee all ..

I would like to attend this event, but unfortunately, I fear due to the costs of petrol these days, the round trip would cost more than my car is actually worth!

Only joshing (but probably true!)

Shame its not closer to Nottinghamshire, otherwise I would have come along.

If I still have the car, I suppose I'll go to the BMC spares day at Ferry Meadows instead.

Before the big bore I was getting well over 30mpg on my TC. And as shown on the dyno it was set up very well with good power.

I must have magic fingers....... :)
