Hi all just a quick up date ive got a bell housing for the V8 gearbox and was looking for the gear box to match when Chris helped me out with some infor' that my gearbox with the overdrive will fit nicely to the V8 engine with a backing plate, so ive looked in to buying one but as my dad has said my B serires engine has a backing plate so we think that i dont need to buy one which is good coz they want £300 for it, and if i dont need to buy one saves me a lot of money, but still need to check this out, but the infor Chirs very kindly supplyed off the internet says that my old gearbox can take the power of the V8 so good news will update when have more infor'

Thanks,
Si

Hi Guys, good to see I am not the only sane person trying to put a V8 in a Marina.
I am using a P6 non-viscous water pump. This should give you adequate room for radiator after giving
the front area a slight trim.
Marina 6 one day,V8 the next

Shortest water pump is MGB V8 or Rover P5/P6 Short Nose P6 or the 105.5mm 3.9 Land Rover Serpentine.

How long is the P76 pump?

Installing V8 in pick up

P6 pump is the smallest, iirc MGB V8 is the same. You will also need bottom pulley from same car as SD1 type is massive.

Fans and radiator is another can if worms.. I've some custom cars here that I'll scan in for you.

Exhaust headers need to be block huggers. Nothing else other than custom types will fit.
