Hi all,
Saw these photos on Flickr, they were taken at the Yorkshire Motor Museum in Thornton le Dale. No idea why it's there, if it's going to be part of the collection or if it's rotting away.
May be worth a call as it might yield some useful spares or could turn out to be saveable.

Rhinegold or bracken? Either way a rare colour. Like it.

Definitely not Bracken, was Rheingold on MK2s as well?
It doesn't look to bad at first, but take a look at the holes on the bonnet and front wing. Wonder what it's like under the front end...

To light for Reingold and to dark for Bracken.
Looks like it has a fair bit of rot and not surprising if it has been dumped there with wet plants around it.
Not much of a Museum

It's more of a classic car dealership with a few exhibits round the back that you can pay to look at. Remember it seeming expensive so didn't bother!

Thats at the back of my friends garage, mk1 n reg 1.3. Its not for sale was his late dads car and been there for about 17 years that I know of. I've tried to buy it in the past but he won't sell. It will probably only be good for spares now as there is ivy and other plants growing in through the front floor and heater vents and the front wings are shot at the front. As for the paint it was tundra but is now badly faded and moss covered.

The one that was painted white, sold by Aylesbury Rover and Andy said had been scrapped for a door.
Think Josh called it a tarted up car-bit like Andy from memory you said
