Well I haven't actually DONE it yet - but I've a brand new speedo cable to put in my ute! :mr green:

My ham-fisted-ness wrecked the one in the ute, I couldn't find another one in NZ - but Chris (MarinaCoupe) organised one and posted it out to me!

It's great how the 'Brotherhood of Marinas' operates huh!

Indeed it is.!

I get the feeling that there are not too many of us.

In fact - on a world-wide scale, we are possibly the most unique group on the planet.

Well done all..!!

Well, fitted new speedo-cable - and it works! (Of course!)

But pulled away the door-opening rubber seal when scarmbling in and out - and it is unwilling to go back into place!

Pianted rust-kill in the back of the grille surround. (Took it off on a whim 'just to see what's behind it')

Been really busy with work plus the weather has been pretty pants lately but this morning I gave Reynard a quick check over. Topped up his oil, topped up the dash pot, put more paste on the hole in the exhaust (again) adjusted the handbrake cable, oiled the door locks and hinges and checked the tyre pressures.
Beauty with brains behind it!

Hi Ben

Pleased to see that she starts well, is that the petrol pump(s) clattering - real loud on the soundtrack.

Good to see that you've fitted the grooved Audi 80 disks with the 4 pots, any problems bolting it all together?

Stuck some nice heavy duty bonnet pins on the Marina, put the badge back on too :-D, put some petroleum jelly on the battery terminals, checked all my fluids, stuck on some nice heavy duty 10mm thick HT leads, and put in my last bit of Dry Fuel. Too cold and windy to do anything else  bring on the summer :!:

Ben your motor looks and sounds out of this world! What an achievement! :o
