I have heard back from Mike Bristowe this afternoon,

" I now have details of the funeral arrangements. It will be held on Friday 22nd February at Haycombe Crematorium at 11:00am.

My family have decided to collect donations for Cancer Research UK instead of floral tributes so that hopefully a cure will be found for all cancers one day.

Thank you for letting the club know and I can assure you that I will be keeping and looking after the Marina in my Dad’s memory".

If anyone wants to donate towards a contribution to Cancer Research UK in David's name, they can pay direct to the charity, of into the club's donations PayPal account (like we did for Darren White). The PayPal account is;

Taken at the MMOC 2011. I think this shows Dave's passion very well.

Gosh that is really sad news, i first met Dave on one of the Teddybears Picnic runs (Severn Valley railway, 2006 i think it was), he had that lovely, laid back, West Country way about him. I recall he was the only other person to take his kids along that day (with their teddy, called Podge), they were really friendly and it made the day for my daughter. Dave's car is still my idea of the perfect Marina - a Black Tulip TC with Geranium trim, beautiful.
My condolences to his family.

Sorry to hear about Marina family member Dave.
Prayers & thoughts go to His family & friends.
Cancer is terrible,my father lost his battle on 22/1/13.
He was a young 63,taken from us way too soon.
I know He has gone but I still feel his presence.
From what I have read on the Forum He has left a lasting impression on people.
R.I.P Dave.
Marina 6 one day,V8 the next
