1993/4 marina national/these cars still exsist!!

Post by MARINAMADBAZ » Fri Feb 22, 2013 8:25 pm

weather crap today!
so decided to dig out an old video of marina/ital's i have that was done for me by an ex club/marina member many years ago when i was new to the marina and club scene.
on this video is the national of 1993/1994 and other shows. :-D

watched this with great interest and made a note of most of the registratiion numbers i could make out, some harder with the fuzz of the old video.

the following cars i did a check on dvla and are currently sorned so must still exsist.

NMC 221L MK1 TC
HFA 800N MK1 1800 COUPE
CSN 855K MK1 TC SALOON AUTOMATIC
OUY 421L MK1 1800 SALOON
RCG 533M JUBILEE TC
TCG 778M MK1
HBT 115S MK2
GLL 328T MK3 COUPE
KGH 668Y RED ITAL
B104 VKE BEIGE ITAL
TJA 982X YELLOW ITAL

Looked on the census but couldn;t find these cars except the jubilee so wondered who owns these, anybody on here, all these cars i have on a video from 21 years ago.
Best regards
Barry

My brothers got a video of a national of similar age. Maybe he could do the same? Be interesting to see what's survived.

Are you going to do census entries for these cars Barry? If not then just say and I will happily do it

Do we know the owner of HFA? Always liked that car but never actually seen it in the flesh.

I've seen it once or twice but not recently. It really is (or was) a fantastic car.I think the owner bought the ST boot spoiler from Raymond.

Well looking at the date on the photo of HFA, it is definately a car of the future ;). Let's hope it survives till then and beyond

Just had an interesting phone call from the owner of HFA800N. It is owned by a guy called Ivor Denney and has been since 1976 apparently. The car has now covered a total of 154.000 miles. It has also had numerous gearbox and axle changes during this time but bodywise is fairly original with minimum work done to it. I remember Ivor from the NEC in November as will a few others that were there as he joined the club at the NEC. Ivor comes on the forum occassionally but has to depend on his good lady wife to get him in as he is not very good with computers. At the moment she is quite ill so Ivor has asked me to let everyone know that the car is still around. It is apparently taxed and ready for a nice day to go out. It never goes out in the rain. Not sure if you put it on the census or not Josh but I'll leave it for you if you haven't as you have the photo. ;)

I've spoken (at length) with Ivor at the last couple of NEC shows.
Would be nice to see the car I've heard so much about!
