Doesn't actually look as bad as I'd remembered! It's the wings that make it look really awful, are they poor quality replacements?

They are ok quality, but just not prepared correctly.

It will certainly need a lot of panels, I counted at least 26 this afternoon. .

Did Matty sell any with the car?
Is it held together with all those stickers?
Mine had 23 panels :-D

Don't the stickers and bits date the car? Gallons to litres conversion tables, security sticker from when Marinas were worth stealing. Also old school graphic equaliser, boom box speakers.

I'll have to keep tabs on mine too, amazing how quickly the numbers creep up!

I've got all the panels it needs, including two chassis rails for the rear and xmember under the front floor!! However, the mr sensible in me has been to see Uncle Frank with it, and he has agreed to take it on. I know he would do a much better job of it than me and I can concentrate on the other TC's and V8. I really like these late mk1 TC's as they just have a real look to them !

This car will be saved and restored to it's former glory !

I left Frank in a darkened room rocking on a chair, I hope he got home ok! ;-)

I was going to give Frank a call this evening, but I might leave it a while for him to recover ;)

:wtf:  After a few stiff drinks and a long spell in a darkened room, the reality of what I have just taken on!, jeez I must be certifiable  , still when Ben arrived this afternoon with her I felt so sorry for this old girl so muggins here has decided to take her on, she will go into storage for a while so I can start locating all the panels she needs, you may well get a call on this one Matt, as Ben said I will need to replace about 26+ panels in all, I do have a lot of them to be honest, if I didn`t there would be no way I could possibly do her, the redeeming points are that the roof, `A` posts and scuttle are all pretty good, all of which are damn near impossible to locate, also as far as I can see, she is pretty much complete!, apart from TC wheels (which I have anyway).
So enjoy these pics for now boys, I will be putting her into safe storage for now, until I find the rest of the panels I need to get her started.
Now I`m off for a lie down, the more I look at the pics the more light headed I start to feel!

  That's certainly a result! You should have taken her on years ago when you had the chance Frank .

As and when, let me know what you are short of ;)

Can't wait to see this one done Frank, well done for saving it Ben!

This is going to be inspirational stuff, even if mine needs no panels (unless you count a front grille) :o

Surely Frank, it can't be much worse than the Mumford was, can it. You did a sterling job on that so this should be a walk in the park. Be a pleasant change to that darkened room that you seem to be spending an awful lot of time in recently. LOL.

It needs quite a few more panels Gary. Wheel arch tubs, chassis rails (rear over axle), xmember and complete heel boards. But Frank certainly is the chap that can fix it. :-)
