What did you do to your Marina today?

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Began the cylinder head job on the Blaze TC. I'll get this sorted, tested and skimmed whilst I try and free off the pistons.
Everything is off but the head needs some proper grunt to remove from the block. Lump hammer and blocks of wood to little avail.
A good mate is coming over as I was a little worried about how and where to to take a big hammer to it without causing any damage.
Dont want to rush and ruin it.
Upon taking out the pushrods, there appears to be no wear on these, but boy the oil absolutely stinks to the point of making me ill which is a bit strange. Must be its age and mixed with some of the diesel I put down the bores to free off the pistons..

Assuming the starter motor is still connected, strip off the rockers, undo all the head bolts by half a dozen turns, leave the spark plugs in but the plug leads disconnected and then turn the engine over.
This way you use the engine compression to 'pop' off the head from the block.
It doesn't always work but it's how I got the head off my B series last time.

That's a lovely job, I like the way the coach line continues through into the trailer.
Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
Went up to Selkirk for the weekend with the estate. Had a good fun run in the sun on Saturday but then got up on a very wet Sunday. The show was very poor with an awful lot of people not turning up, even some club stand spaces were totally empty. Once the autojumblers started to leave at lunch time the show was over for me and I left at 2pm. This was the first time I've ever left early I'm normally there till the bitter end.
I really feel it for the organisers when the weather cocks it up again. At least the car had a good run out, sorry no photos forgot the camera.

Re: What did you do to your Marina today?
You mean speaking stupid? Or YMSS!!!!!!!!
When I learnt my ABC many moons ago, they were in order (ABCD etc) When arranged in groups in a different order they made words which were generally understood even if slitley mifspelt.
There is also short hand like Morse code for military communications etc but just putting random letters together is not a language unless it is accompanied with a look up chart
Where is the look up chart? Or is it in some micro chip implanted in to "Yoofs" as you say??
Hang on, I can shorten this -
lfgldlhlgl
Still not got the hang of it
