frost plug

Post by scrat6 » Sat Nov 23, 2013 10:10 pm

Hi everyone!
I think ive blown a frost plug in my 1800 as water is flowing out the back of engine through a hole I can feel with my finger. ...but can't see.
I can't find a reference to any frost plug in my marina manual?
Any help would be appreciated

It is commonly known as a core plug, you can get new ones from MGBHive or most MGB specialists ;)
MORRIS MARINA OWNERS CLUB.

The original and still the best since 1985.

Yep there is one at the back-need to remove the gearbox and back plate to replace it.

Can be done with engine in place but not easy.

Might wise to 'strap' the new one in.
