Sad news

Post by MarinaCoupe » Sun Jun 15, 2014 10:00 am

Many of you will recall an elderly couple Mary and Eric Furnell attending club show stands, IoW and the Nationals for many years, in their white Mk2 SunTor. Eric has called Andy to say that Mary has died after a short battle with an aggressive cancer.

It seems that they have no relatives and Eric is very worried that there will be just him at Mary's funeral.

They come from the Uxbridge area and there will be a funeral at Iver. Mary has a burial plot in the Wirral so there will be an interment ceremony later.

We don't know exactly when the funeral or interment will be but are hoping that we can get some members along to support Eric.

I'll keep everyone posted.

That's such a shame, she was a lovely old lady, she will be missed at the shows. Our thoughts are with Eric at this time.

Very sad to hear that. Had quite a long chat with them at the Nationals last year and as Fruity says she was a lovely lady.

Very sad news. Thoughts for Eric. I hope there can be an MMOC presence at the funeral, she always made one for us at the national and iow. A very proud and pleasant lady.

Very sad news, Thoughts are with Eric at this time.
They stopped in their camper on the Yorkshire Moors to check we were OK as we had pulled over which was very nice indeed.
