Cleaning the windscreen water sprayers

Post by Martec » Fri Jul 25, 2014 5:16 pm

I went to put the Marina away this morning and it was roasting, everything was hot, so I decided to have a go at removing the small brass ball shaped sprayer on the drivers side (very little screen wash coming out).

As the black plastic surround was now quite soft I put two pins into the small spray nozzles and moved the ball about until I managed to prise it out and not loose it on the floor.

There is a biggish hole drilled from the bottom and the two spray holes go into the big drilling, I cleaned it out with a drill by hand and then pressed it back into the black plastic and a good clear spray pattern was the reward.

A daft little job that I was pleased with.

When mine got blocked before, the pressure causes my balls to pop out but so far I've always managed to retrieve them.
