Re: marina tr8 brakes? wheels
I think that's what Frank fitted to his ST Marina. I think that they a pretty much the same as the Princess calipers I fitted on mine.

They are pretty much identical to Princess one, same internals (pistons, seals etc). To use them with 13" wheels they need machining so that they slope inwards to the hub. If you used 14" wheels you don't need to machine them.MarinaCoupe wrote:I think that's what Frank fitted to his ST Marina. I've got SD1 brakes on my V8 currently, but will be changing them for Wilwoods next year, they are bigger than the TR8/Princess ones and require a larger disc to do them justice. I have kits in stock for these.stu1980 wrote:was wondering if triumph tr8 4 pot brakes fit a marina also what other stuff would be usfull of one cheers
Others have used some modern sliding calipers from Audi, Ford and Renault. Anything is possible with a little thought. Use the search button to find out more.
I sell machined vented discs (240mm) for the Marina hubs, these can be used with 13" wheels and TR8/Princess and even Marina calipers with a spacer kit.

I'm not sure but I think mk1 Escort callipers will fit a Marina. If that's so then four pot upgrades for them should fit Marinas too?

Re: marina tr8 brakes? wheels
Gareth Marina, Escort and Princess all share the same caliper bolt pattern although Escort and Princess are metric bolts and Marina is imperial.

Amazing! All the info one would need for a brake upgrade. I'm well impressed by thatMarinaCoupe wrote:Gareth Marina, Escort and Princess all share the same caliper bolt pattern although Escort and Princess are metric bolts and Marina is imperial.

Re: marina tr8 brakes? wheels
As you can see I had to fit 14" wheel rims. Uncle Frank has kept 13" rims by repositioning the caliper bolt holes so that the caliper sits closer to the wheel hubs.

Yes, Marina brake upgrades are not as limited as I thought! If you're willing to put in some work there's quite a few options too

iirc Mk1 Escort had same calipers and imperial bolts as Marina, and the "Germanised" Mk2 went metric (but same size caliper?).MarinaCoupe wrote:Gareth Marina, Escort and Princess all share the same caliper bolt pattern although Escort and Princess are metric bolts and Marina is imperial.
