Capacity for a start- the biggest engine Cambridges were offered with was a 1.6, the Marina B series is 1.8.

The 1622cc B series en the Farina Saloons and early MG s were three main bearing Crankshaft engines, the same as the A Series. The later B series 1800 engine, as fitted to Marina Princess and later MGB etc. Had a five main bearing Crankshaft engine, it was this Block that was eventually used to produce the O series engine. All be it in very much modified form. This is not to be confuesd with the experemental B series OHC engine. The O series engine went through much development (even a protoype MGB with one fitted was built) ending up in Meastro Montego etc. Finally becoming T Series twin cam in Rover 820 also used by Morgan in their Plus 4.
