If it is an early one, yes.

Also same as P6 iirc...

Clutch slave seals

Post by MarinaCoupe » Fri Mar 18, 2016 10:44 am

The Moprod clutch slaves are cast in aluminium rather than iron. The piston has two seals, one similar to the Girling or Lockheed units and a second plain O ring to support the other end of the steel piston, to avoid it rubbing on the aluminium casing, unlike the single seal in the iron units. I believe that the ally ones are all 7/8" diameter which is standard bore for everything after about 1972 (Josh will know the changeover chassis number).

I have a cast iron 1" bore slave sleeved in stainless steel on the shelf as well as plenty of 7/8" ones, also some NOS piston/spring & seal kits for 7/8" iron slaves.

I have a mop rod on my car. Works well and has so far proved reliable.
I never understood why this design was never fitted in the first place.
They've a doddle to fit . And remove.

Sadly I don't know the changeover number as I haven't got a MK1 parts book but I'd be surprised if it was an early one.
