Looks smart with white roof, very tidy but I would check the rear end out closely, looks like it had a knock. Plus they need to shine up those gutter trims before fitting them. Minor though.
Perfect colour, not sure it is Citron in artificial light?

I'm pretty sure someone posted a link to this car when it was on eBay a few months ago. There was some question to its pedigree. Yes it is customised, but I think it was registered as a 1.8 from new on that license plate, yet it is a 1.3 shell. judging by the grille and instrumentation. I think someone also pointed out it had a rear valence that dates it after 1972.

Most likely scenario to me is that it's a 1974 on 1.3 with the VIN and engine from a 1972 1.8. The dashboard is all 1.3, the seats are later ones (not stitched) and both front and rear valances are later. There's more ringers out there than you'd think!

Still a smart looking car though!

Another casualty of the old rolling 25 Tear tax Exemption. There are a lot of later 1970s cars of all makes, out there with pre 1973 reg plates. Dealer on ebay got a late Maxi in Sandglow, with wood dash and cloth seats. Showing 69 G plates, a very early mk1 grille bumpers and badging !!!

I think that is along the lines of what was said last time, Josh. Yes, even if it's a 'bitsa' car it is still a Marina on the road. Just a pity it's got a fudged identity. I was surprised to see a link to it shared on Facebook yesterday, and left a comment along the lines of 'shame they (Moss) couldn't supply me with the right choke cable for mine then...'

Seen it. How awful. This sort of thing, to me, represents the worst aspect of the classic car 'boom' we're supposed to be experiencing. I'm not sure who the dealer thinks he is going to fool into believing this is a 'first edition' Maxi, but clearly he thinks he is fooling somebody.

It was probably me who said it last time round too  In my experience most ringers were done years ago, now tax is rolling again it's less of an issue.
