Hi just came across the website by chance, i`m totally amazed that there is a site devoted to this totally utterly crap car!!
For my sins, i had one as a company car in the early 80`s. I used to leave it unlocked in car parks in Brighton (then the thief centre outside of London) hoping that it would be stolen. No such luck, the crooks knew better.
It has to be the worst car ever made in Britain and certainly justifies the demise of our car manufacturing industry.
Regards
Terry
PS. Did they ever sort out the judder in reverse? After almost five years in production, i was told by the local dealer after taking delivery of a new one "they all do that Sir!!"

To say the least i was not impressed with this rather unnescessary E-mail and i thought you chaps might like to bombard the idiot with your own thoughts!!, needless to say i have already replied as follows.....
Hi Terry,
For my sins i have just had to read your utterly crap E-mail!, fortunately for every one ex- owner such as yourself there are several owners who actually had a good experience with the Marina, and still express a fondness for them!, it may surprise you to learn that the club is over 500 strong and has been around for over 20 years. I could tell you a similar tale to your own about a Ford Capri i once owned, but i do not feel the need to contact the Capri club to tell them what a crap car they are and upset a lot of enthusiasts who genuinely like the car!! In future please keep your opinions to yourself, i hope you are very proud to be driving around in your Eurobox saloon or perhaps you prefer the Jap stuff, some of us still like our old BL rubbish and are proud of it!
yours F.Phillips President MMOC.
