I don't want to sound negative, but I'd say that is beyond saving!

Sounds like the engine isn't much better than the bodywork. Glass could be useful, I suppose :|

Front bumper does not look bad either! IF you can get the corners undone that is
There are always bits that can be used even if it has got to this state.
I agree with Dave though it does look nasty unless for some reason the sills and floor are OK! But looking at the roof and other parts the floor is going to be full of rot.

Frank would have it looking like new in one weekend...

Actually, I think most of it will buff out...

How people let things get like this is beyond me. Like a house we viewed recently. It was a large Victorian semi with a big garden in a pretty village. Until recently it had been lived in by an elderly lady who couldnt get up the stairs so upstairs was left empty for many years.
As a result the downstairs was in great condition and upstairs, on the wall that hasnt got a house the other side, the paper was peeling off the walls, the floor was ruined, the sash window was rotten and the ceiling had huge holes in it.
If only they had just heated the upstairs. Just a bit more care would have preserved it :(

YOU, YES YOU, THIS IS THE SENSIBLE POLICE - STEP AWAY FROM THE CASH MACHINE!!! KEEP YOUR HANDS WHERE THEY CAN BE SEEN! YOU DO NOT NEED ANOTHER MARINA, ESPECIALLY THIS ONE!

Seriously guys, possibly some value in breaking but don't even think about a restoration. Bumpers, stainless trim (what there is), maybe some of the running gear, maybe some interior trim?

Rubber mats might be worth saving for a van  , not much else going for it though...perhaps we should give TG a call

yeah i think the boot was virtually the only panel with out rust, i can say i think this one is beyond saving thou, which is a shame .

am thinking what do i need for my car off this car - or what can i salvage for future spares ,

seeing as mine is a 1.3 as well , but then comes the point of where do i take it to strip it down, fingers crossed if they do want to sell they will let me strip it where it is. all i would have to do then is get the parts back to the folks place in wales , oh th joys of living in a one bed rented flat in london , the lack of storage .

i am hoping that they know where the keys are as well as could do with the ignition barrel for mine

Stainless gutter trims are worth getting, take a small wooden block and hammer with you and work them off from one end using the block on the underside of the trim or from the door opening.
That way you won't bend them

If it has good rubber mats I would like a punt at them - dib dob dabs or something  :?
I thought the boot looked OK too.
