HI,
Just thought I'd share some pix that have surfaced recently of our Le,
My Bro's first 1.3 sdl
Pops Le 6 months old...supercover sticker still in window!
Same day
3 years later when Bro bought from my dad with the Ital spoiler fitted
4 years old and on holiday via Sutton bank with the MG metro ( I owned also for a short while)that replaced the LE
10 years on and just after new sills fitted..a few dents and faded vinyl roof but still mechanically excellent
If you look carefully, you can just see the blue stainless Kwitfit exhaust that were sold in those days.

Not seen these for years...still seems like yesterday when I snapped the 6 month old pix

On my first Marina, owned 1976-1979, I had a blue exhaust fitted but it was mild steel.

Whilst not wishing to contradict what has been quoted I must also add that for my current Marina, which I have owned since new, 1979, I had a Grundy stainless steel exhaust fitted by KwikFit and it has never been blue. Still got the receipt, fitted 09 OCT 1982, invoice total £69.10. Came with a five year guarantee which required that 'the exhaust system hangers and engine mountings be checked and repaired as necessary at least once every twelve months'. The annual inspection record reveals the only work required being to tighten the front bolts after two years.
