Nothing Is Ever Simple! IOW Pickup Restoration

Post by ClaytonSpeed » Tue Sep 25, 2007 10:31 am

Went over to the Isle of Wight this weekend to see all the IOW rebels.

Saturday afternoon I helped Jim get his Ital ready for it's MOT on Thursday. Replaced the fuel lines and drive belt. We then got his pickup onto the ramp to check it out ready for an engine change... Well nothing is ever simple is it! What should have been a quick turn around has I think moved onto a full blown Frank Phillips resto!

Pictures speak louder than words!

Looks good enough..

Ok here...

Frank looks a little pale!

Even the children are showing an interest!

Basically it's going to need a new rear quarter, sills, doors and spring hangers plus a paint!

It will look fantastic when it is done! Well if you are going to do a job right then do it first time! I'll pop down in a couple of weeks to help out preping the rear quarter ready for welding.

Needless to say I think Frank needed a stiff drink after hearing the words "Another one Frank!"

Aye it sure is Sam. It's the addiction that drives you on but there is no cure on the NHS if it still exists! :)
