I recently joined this club because the Marina is just starting to enter the general awareness in a venue usually reserved for Minors, more Minors, and the occasional Oxford.
There is a Morris Minor club too - but for political reasons which elude me, their numbers are split.
Presumably, one lot filched members off another.
Refreshingly, a couple of Austin Princesses turned up too. As it happens, their owners also have Morries, but I was happy to note the O series connection.
As a first - there were three Marinas this time. We do not yet have a large enough following for a local 'Marina' club - and I'm sure that we would prefer to incorporate such with the existing club anyway - on the basis that 'the more - the merrier'.
However.
I do feel the need to 'stretch the legs' on my Marina from time to time, and some of the older Morries do not enjoy the same cruising ability.
I chose to return home by a more ambitious route than the group, so I got my chance to give it a squirt..
Here are a few pics from the event.
The one-handed-looking-out-the-rear-window shot.
Must clean that damn window...

To be fair - they were managing between 80 and 90 K's most of the time - and it did give me ample opportunity to mess with the camera...

A free barbecue lunch was provided for us - in return we gave rides to pensioners at a retirement home.
I thought it sounded a bit silly at first - but if you'd seen what a blast they had driving around in Minor convertibles, and a superbly restored Morris 12, it was a splendid idea, and made us all feel really good about adding some spice to their day.
Club folk resting after lunch with a splendid backdrop...

Cheers all.
