So, my mate and I went for a curry last night...

because it was so freezing cold. As I was giving him a lift home in my Ital van about 9pm, shivering because the heater is rubbish, he turned to me and said; " We are probably the only people in the country driving around in a Marina van right now!". Was he right?

Ok 63, you 'got it'. He calls it a Marina because he saw the episode of 'Minder' where there is a character called 'Tasty Tim' who drives a Marina van... I thought it was quite perceptive of him because at one time the Marina/ Ital was one of the most numerous vehicles on the road, and now... it isn't!

By the way, another mate who is a TV 'anorak' tells me the episode of Minder was #58, 'Around the Corner', which was the 1984 Christmas special apparently...
