Hi Martin
The cruiser bit is because a big engine will pull a tall axle ratio. If you fitted an MGB V8 axle then a straight six, V6 or V8 would be very sweet.

Re: 6cyl marina
This one appears to have a Triumph 2500TC engine :-

iirc the Disco V8 has an overdrive 4-speed auto.
Now what rwd auto could the Rover KV6 bolt to?

Re: 6cyl marina
the Australian Marina has the 2620 'E' series engine fitted but with body mods to fit it,
although i know someone that has a wagon that had it fitted with an auto
i have had a 2500 T.C .Triumph but it was no speed machine i would rather a 3.5 or bigger
like 4.8

Hi Carl,I know where there is 4.8 in a shed collecting dust. You are as bad as me at getting them on the road.
Did you get those engines out of the trailer?
How about this weather,I got burnt today with all this sun

Re: 6cyl marina
We've got a mk1 Triumph GT6 sat outside. 2 litre triumph 6. Had it tuned on the rolling road by Pete Burgess last year and it only kicks out just over 100bhp.
They are a bit of a boat anchor IMHO!
M series or T series would be a good bet in a Marina with an MGB V8 axle and a suitable autobox.

KV6 is a very wide vee - you might struggle to get that in the enigne bay?locost_bryan wrote: Now what rwd auto could the Rover KV6 bolt to?
Although, to answer your questions, it'll bolt to whatever you bolt a K series to. The caterham boys have bellhousings made up to mate them to type 9 boxes so Chris' 5 speed conversion would be in if you can put up with a manual?
