Does anybody know what happened to this nice 1.8 coupe?
No longer showing up on the DVLA database so guessing it has been scrapped?

That was at Newmarket in 2008.
The first time I sat in a Marina after wanting one since about 1998!

Perhaps it went abroad?
There's a lot of interest in europe now for high quality british 60's and 70's tin.
The last 4 MGB's I sold have gone to France, Germany, Netherlands and Monte carlo respectively.

It would still show up on the DVLA but with an export marker.
It used to show up, so I can only assume it was scrapped and a COD issued.

The car was sold to a guy up in Montrose by Stu. The last I heard it was sold on again to someone in Peterborough. This coupe was pretty mint and only had a couple of tiny patch welds on the front floor pans. What little rot that was on the pans were cut out.

Beauty with brains behind it!

Nice picture Sean.
It shows up on HPI checks but not on the DVLA database (as does JWC) so I guess it's gone now

The same guy who sold UAB also sold Larry's white 1.8 mk2 to the BBC and they flung a Piano on it

I was looking at this car and was sure I'd seen it before.
The proof of the pudding was when I saw myself and the missus stood behing it with my old Pug taxi.! (Now scrapped too.For the sake of a clutch)Taken at the National (2008?) holker hall.
This pic was in Understeer so now my cover is blown!
Just behind is the PERFECT White car that was traded in and scrapped under the Governments scrappage scheme. It also featured in 'AustinRoveronlines' car of the month.
Owned by a Peter Wood?

Yeah with GCV and this it's safe to say no car is safe unless you keep it yourself. I'd rather see TG destroying mint cars than club members.

The guy with the white saloon paid over two grand for it from a dealer and thought that he'd done well. I rode with him on the road run. He joined the club after buying and realised that he would never get his money back. So when the government plan came in he saw a way to get his money back. He didn't want a Marina he wanted an investment - silly boy.

Probably would get that back now with the right advertising
I still regret not swapping JWC for GCV and swapping VINs
