Marinanut fitted them to his Ital estate. See his thread "It's Back" for more details.

The Valarie Singleton scchool of repair

It's a well known fact that most Marina/Ital door bottoms are treated to Valarie's,special form of body work, the Sun newspaper or the Warburtons bread wrapper being a personel favorite of mine, masking tape and filler can only enahance the job,and for a professional touch apply a generous amount of body shultz,(this system may be used for other areas :sills, wings, rear quaters ect in fact most marina's i have ever bought have undergone this full restoration quality!

 Hello Russell!!, nice to hear from you again, i see you have`nt changed at all   , however if Matty is looking for a serious answer to his wing fixing problem, it would be worth using a combination of bond and seal compound, such as Tiger seal, with a row of speed fasteners & clips at each regular interval point possible, i would suggest about six along the top edge with one at the bottom of the sill joint and a few inside the inner wing to front lower panel joint, with a bit of care you can make them look pretty good  , whether they will look as good as Russells Sun Newspaper and breadwrapper solution i`m not so sure, but they should last a bit longer

Alas I have failed to mention that old favourite of mine - Peak Freens Biscuit tins soldered in place and garnished with lashings of bodge! !!
Yummy!

P.S. Frank I don't think Graeme will be too pleased to being referred to as "Matty" again, watch out !!

Matty's not over chuffed at being mistaken for the cheapskate Scurrah!!

You're wasting your time Graeme as fibreglass wings will melt away in Smog Monster ICI 'Borough land

The Peak Freens biscuit tin repair section

I've seen some of Brian's repair work using the above mentioned method, the results are very impressive to say the least,Crawfords,Fox's or Family assortment repair sections ,were never quite as good, but Graeme not embracing the joys of filler what has happened to him since i've been away from the scene? (this man was the king of the aerosol respray!) Graeme don't think you've escaped your Northern boys past,Big Russ knows all....

Post by The original northen boy » Tue Dec 11, 2007 6:09 pm

Gave up real work back in 2001, don't think i've been near a spanner since then ,mind you i still have all my Snap-on tools and the Snap-on tool chest (stored in the disabled toilet at work along with one of my juke boxes) nice to know you're well, does a Northen boys reunion seem on the cards? i think it's around 1/10 you might get a little better on Bet-fair.
