The TC Count

Post by Gee tc » Sat Jul 11, 2015 9:33 am

Seems that since I have been on the forum (10 years or so) that a number of TC's have been discovered.
Do we have reasonably exact numbers now, especially since the census?

How many Left? Has 22 on the road and 35 on SORN.

If you add in those that are misregistered on DVLA as DLs and those that never got into the DVLA database, Then I would guess around 70-75 all told.

I have chassis numbers for 51 confirmed survivors plus a few other whose status is unknown. Got photos of about 55 which are confirmed as still existing. Those numbers are not including Jubilees. Amazing how many have survived considering they didn't seem to sell very well- by July 71 BL had only built 1600 of them (1000 of which were probably pre-launch). Well over 15,000 cars had been built in total by that point, maybe sales picked up later on once all the early ones had been recalled.

Hello  welcome to the forum.
There are about 15 Jubilees left unless your one is new to me?
What is the registration of your Jubilee? May have a picture of it somewhere
Only 5 Jubilees on the road in the UK currently.
About 750 to 800 Marinas / Itals of any model left.
Ford Escort MK1 Mexicos there are 800 in the UK!!!!!! So one type of ford - common really

I bet the 800 marinas are more genuine than the 800 Mexicos ! !
