How much was the Marina brand new back in the day?
I'm also trying to find an average inflation increase-rate but I can't find any. This way, I want to see if the Marina was more or less expensive than modern day cars.
And by that extent, was BL good value for money or were they still too expensive to justify their quality?
Do you think if BL had a more seamless production line, and much fewer brands / cars on offer, they might still be around today?

Question on Marina prices
I love Marinas, but I can't have one. Instead, I'm the proud owner of "Lily", a Jaguar XJS from Coventry Rainforest, England.

Re: Question on Marina prices
There's a flickr page called Triggers retro road tests (iirc) that has Car magazine road tests from 1971 and 1976 with prices.
There were a lot of reasons for BL failing, the bloated product line didn't help, and spread investment too thin.
