I's a long time since i watched the "Top Gear Marina special" but i just thought i'd give it the once over before it goes on the forum or You Tube, for you all to watch,Top Gear have always had a negative attitude to British cars,and this so called special from 1993 just proves it.
The report was presented by Tony Mason a man devoid of any personality,long since dispatched to the realms of" has-been ex-presenters".He took the report as a joke,and only seemed to show any sort of intrest when three Allegros turned up on the day forgetting what his feature was about .Two hours plus of filming for half a dozen shots of the cars on the road,In my view they saw the day as a big laugh.
Top Gear have always attacked British Cars,often in my oppion unfairly,the damage this has caused to the British car industry has been devastating,Anyway you'll soon be able to make up your own mind,sleep tight boys on a job well done..

Couldn`t agree more Russ about Tony Mason...what a pillock!!, i can remember talking to him at Beaulieu one year, the bloke really didn`t have a clue what he was doing! :roll: , i think it is a shame that such an entertaining show as Top Gear chooses to take the pi** out of anything BL ever made, they should really be ashamed of themselves, but Clarkson being Clarkson...that will never happen, i met him in Birmingham back in the 80`s, he has to be one of the most arrogant ba***ards i have ever met....far too important to give a friend of mine (a young lady who thought he was wonderful beforehand) an autograph, he merely brushed her aside like she didn`t exist, so he could chat to some toff who was obviously loaded...far more important :roll: .
The shame of it is, Top Gear is great fun to watch, and the chemistry between those three is electric, just a pity they have to spoil it for all us BL fans .
