Re: Water ingress UPDATE
Hey guys......I was the man that "discovered" Capt Tolley's when looking for something to repair my Humber leaking screen. Glad to hear it appears to be working.......& what a great named & designed product too !!!

Re: Water ingress through air vents under wipers?
Well, I've not used "Capt Tolley's" on anything other than screen seals, I figure it would be too "runny" to seal wiper arm seats etc.....Further on the leakage scene.....I noticed a wet front passenger floorwell on Saturday & thought I ought to investigate. Oh Crikey !! The front parcel shelf was ...

Re: Can the Marina be classed as a Classic car?
Of course they can be !! Not wanting to "stereotype" your friends, but the examples of Stag & Capri are often used by "normal folks" as examples of classics as they are sports cars & generaly people without any perception of the classic car world tend to view sports models over & above bread ...

Re: Spotted one in Lincoln
Having personally seen the car in the flesh, when I purchased the restored coupe from them, it certainly ain't pretty !! It's been stored outside on a muddy patch all through the bad weather (with the boot open) & the boot floor looked a bit crumpled to me.....so where else has sustained the ...

Re: Water ingress through air vents under wipers?
But with this stuff, it's so easy to seal all around the seal inner & outer. It's "supposed" to be thinner than water (how's that work ?) & enters into the rubbers & creeps through using capillary action until it finds the open voids & then sets........It genuinely is easy to use & sets invisibly (I ...

Re: Water ingress through air vents under wipers?
Leaky screens.....I had a leaky front screen on my '63 Sceptre & I was worried about taking it out as it's a big ol' wrapround glass & I feared breaking it. So went searching for a solution & found "Captain Tolley's Creeping Crack Cure !" (what a great name !) It's a marine application, that is ...

Re: Spotted one in Lincoln
Thanks to Mojo for shifting the pic from Flickr onto the forum....cheers Bud.
Baz.....you are correct, that is the other Coupe that is based in Derby. They're not intending on restoring it, it's going on ebay v.soon. It has a current V5 & MOT...no idea on price though.....just keep your peepers open ...

Re: Spotted one in Lincoln
Yep....I'm the guilty owner !! Picked the car up from a couple of "retro car" enthusiasts in Derby through the ebay ad. The two guys had picked up the car at Newark Autojumble (orig price unknown) They weren't into Marinas, just enjoyed the building/resto of anything interesting. Their "love" was ...
