Re: Spotted: Bournemouth

From a chap in Faringdon. I bought some Astrali rims from him about two years ago, saw the Revolutions then. We stayed in touch, on the basis he'd sell them eventually! ;)

I've absolutely nothing to suggest they're the same set, but I saw some on a very rare Lotus Europa GS (the re-styled one with ...

Re: Spotted: Bournemouth

Strangely enough I do have some 14" Revolutions, but having only bought them last week they're not actually in my possession yet!

If they're something you'd be interested in when/if I part with them, I'll give you a shout.

Re: Spotted: Bournemouth

Yeah...erm...kinda slightly addicted to weird and wonderful period additions, particularly wheels!

I've got every variety and model of Cosmics, obscure MAGs, Turbovecs and many others. I've put aside a particularly nice set of Cobra Dragslots in 7J for a Marina/Ital, as they should fill the arches ...

Re: Spotted: Bournemouth

Thanks for all the replies and for identifying the car/owner for me! I'll have to keep 'em peeled...

I know Pete but haven't seen him in a while. I too share a strange fascination will all wheels in 3.75" PCD, there are 15 sets in the garage now... Still, when I eventually locate a Marina/Ital I'll ...

Spotted: Bournemouth

Saw a Harvest Gold Marina Saloon making it's way through the traffic a day or so ago: anyone on here? Perhaps a local Marina buddy might be able to help me find a car?! :D

Re: Advice as to values please

Ah, I hadn't realised that there is a separate classified section for members, I'll join the club in that case. I haven't done so before as I thought I'd get a car first.

I usually only check eBay and Gumtree with the occasional foray onto Autotrader. I'm not aware of any other outlets though check ...

Advice as to values please

I recently placed a Wanted advert on this forum for a Marina or Ital Automatic. No replies as yet, but I wonder whether I have missed the boat value-wise. I've now broadened my search to include cars with Manual gearboxes, but very little seems to be in my price-range. I'd like a car suitable for ...

Re: Anyone know this Mumford?

That seems a terrible shame. Could they not be prised from his grasp with an offer, or is he one of those 'not for sale at any price' types?

I've always had a soft spot for Mumfords and regret not having bought a (Special?) based one that passed through a local auction some years ago.

Re: Marina Automatic

Barry,

Many thanks for providing such a comprehensive response. I would really prefer a 1275cc variant, so will have to keep my eyes open!

Marina Automatic

Was it possible to buy an automatic 1275cc Marina in 2 and 4dr configurations? If so, were automatic 1275cc Itals made?

I know that 1798cc models were made as automatics, but cannot recall whether 1275cc variants were made; I would be grateful for some guidance please.

My girlfriend is a ...

Wheel Guidance

Aside from interest in Marinas and Itals - one day I'll find that immaculate estate! - I'm also an enthusiast of all things Triumph. I'm aware that the 'small' Triumph range shares its PCD - 3.75", 95.25mm - with the Marina saloons, but wondered if I might ask for some advice? Am I right in thinking ...

Morris Marina - Scrappage Scheme

I have heard that a Marina has been chopped in against a new car at Page Motors, Ferndown, Dorset. I believe that it is a tax exempt 1275cc 4dr, but have no other details. I have no connection to the vehicle whatsoever, I just wanted to alert any local enthusiasts in case they were interested in its ...
