ScreamingLordStokes wrote:Airfix made a plastic model kit of a Marina saloon (a TC I think) in the early 70s but these are ultra rare. I'd like to know what happened to the moulds though. They also produced a kit of the Maxi - again very hard to find. Might be worth contacting Hornby (who now own Airfix) and asking if the moulds still exist. The MK1 Escort kit is still being produced so there is a slight possibility that they are stuck on some dusty shelf somewhere.

Hello Alan, Found an old Airfix catalogue at a car boot sale yesterday and it has the Marina model in it. It is the tenth edition from, I guess 1972/3 (the Marina model was only produced from 72-74), this is what the catalogue says:
Morris Marina T.C.
Completely detailed engine and interior are
included in this perfectly scaled kit of the
most potent model of the new Morris range.
The Marina offers sports car performance
with extreme flexibility and comfort.
Fantastic eh!
