They where at it again last night, but how come the one seen last night was sandglow, & the one in the DVD is gold, yet they have the same number plate?

Maybe they are ringing cars

Actually rather pleased the old girl put up a good fight against that Italian moving pile of rust!

Look again at the side/rear shot, the car seems to have Ital rear lights.

I spotted that issue with the number plate to!
Maybe they are trying to confuse us so we don't know what car has been trashed.
Either that or they are modifying them as this car is strange having MK3 bumpers doors etc the plate from the gold Metalic car from JC video and Ital rear end!!
I am pretty sure they did not do a half breed Ital / MK3 at any point :| :?
The show is vert scripted just looking at the Lancia which fell apart - I know they were not built well but they would not have been that bad.
I doubt the Marina even broke down it was an excuse to smash the door off
Same with the Air ship clip, all the fuss about it being near a run way was all written in or they would have to pay a huge fine for breaching air space.

I think that's an Ital. It would be easy to fit a marina front end onto an Ital, you would only need to replace the grill, headlamps and bumper. That would explain why the 'Marina' o/s headlamp wasn't working properly, it had been messed with.

They are obviously having problems finding enough Marinas, that is why, in my opinion, they are using an Ital dressed up as a Marina, using the number plates from the gold one in Clarkson's DVD.

The joke wouldn't seem as funny for them if it were an Ital, not a Marina  :!:

Good point there Dave!
Seems to make sense with the lamp also not working.
The only hard bit is the inner wing would be different and the indicators would need cutting in! Still a lot of trouble to go to! May be this car had been messed with before they got it has JC DIY skills are negative 100%

Hi Paul,

The indicators wouldn't need cutting in, they are in the mk3 bumper, probably not wired up anyway!

That side view looks so Ital, thicker side trim. I thought mk3's only had stick-on stripes up the sides :?

P.S. The Jubilee is looking superb, well done!!!!!!

Dave.

Of course the irony is Itals are even rarer! Anyway still pleased with how she did with a PIANO on the roof!

Your right about the indicators Dave
Thanks for the compliments, I have had a lot of support from loads of people which is great and keeps me going.
I think the 1st year of motoring will be taking it to show all people who have been interested in it.

I gather from a good source the car is still in a local scrappies with the piano on the roof.... might be worth a hunt for anyone near Dunsfold.
The classic car movement needs Jeremy Clarkson like Jenson Button needs a towhitch and a Sprite Musketeer....

I wonder what happened to the white special after the ice race because it still shows as being taxed till sometime next year. As well as loosing cars we are loosing rare spares that could be saved from the cars after they have finished with them. Where do they go after the shows?
