1,3 Air filter

I have a problem sourcing a new air filter for my 1,3 (-73). The "normal" motor factors don't list these any more and the specialist around here says that he can't get hold of any air filters for the 1,3 any more - apparently noone makes them? I also did a quick eBay search and I while I found a few that looked right, they were listed as fitting the 1,3 only from 1978.
Any suggestions?

How about a basic aftermarket filter ? I'm using a "SIMOTA" Mushroom filter on my 1.8. Simply clamps onto the air intake.

If you want an original, I have no idea.

I will try to keep it as original as possible. Will visit my motor factor with the old filter and we'll try to find a close match. But really, surel there must be someone over in the UK with a stockpile of these filters?

His shop is amazing - such a variety of stock - where when i have been in there for parts - you have to hunt thru boxes upon boxes of stuff

he has shelves of new old stock items .

I got mine off Trademe, which is like a NZ ebay. But you can get them over there...

The standard air filter for Mk1 & Mk2 Marina 1.3s and 1.8 single carbs is the Unipart GFE 1005 - available from some motor factors and listed currently on EBay. http://stores.ebay.co.uk/blacksofstichi ... =398740919

Also listed for Triumph Dolomite single carb so available via Rimmer Bros - about Â£5.00.

Yep, I have seen both those ebay listings but in the description it says 1,3 only after 1978?

they are still available of the shelf, ill get you some part nos tomorrow if u want them for a few different suppliers.

Found some in the US! British Parts Source in Ohio sent me 2 x GFE 1005 in ORIGINAL BOXES!

Unipart doesn't make these anymore do they? Fram do not make their equivalent CA646 any more.
