I never had the chance to meet Darren but it's always sad to hear of someone going before their time.
My condolences to Darren's family.

Hi

Was a friend of Darren's - lived just down the road from him - I was one of his 'Rovering' buddies. Spoke to Darren's dad and it was indeed very sudden and the circumstances in which he died quite unbelievable for someone of his age.

Photo of when he arrived in his TC to an SD1 Club Essex meet in 2010. The other club members could not believe their eyes when his gleaming Marina rolled into the car park :D .

The Essex SD1 club members who knew him were shocked and gutted when they heard the news of Darren's death. As was I - like many on here it was very hard to believe it as he was such a nice bloke you really dont want to believe news like that. Not ashamed to say that tears did roll down my face.

The TC was definitely the car I associated Darren with....

Donations now over £200, it will make a worthwhile sum for the hospice.

No date yet for funeral, I'll keep the account open until after that.

Hi Brianscotcher,

I guess you where one of the chaps in the video on Darren's You Tube Channel, enjoyed seeing the SD1's Nice cars.
Thanks for posting up the pictures.

I just hope Darren is resting in peace and his father is being looked after. When I last saw Darren he was with his Dad on the IOW end of August. His Dad was so nice to my wife and I and our son so I just feel for him.

All the best,
Paul.

My father died of a heart attack at about the same age  . Sadly, a wide variety of "natural causes" claim a lot of good people before their time :( .

Yes I know about the funny number, someone (no names) didn't use the Personal/Gift route and PayPal charged at source for the transfer out of the donation.
