1800 B Series inlet manifold

Post by johnk » Tue Mar 20, 2012 11:17 am

Hello All, apologies for jumping straight into a thread on my first post but I'm looking to see if the club can help.

My company is Specialist Components and we're in the process of putting together a 5 port injection kit along the lines of the one
we do for the A series. Unfortunately the B series is not as well serviced by suppliers as the A when it comes to choices
of single SU inlet manifolds, so we will be looking at re-casting one. To aid the process we're looking for a production single SU manifold
as fitted to the 1800 B to base the design around - can anyone help with this? thanks again

Regards

John

1800 B Series inlet manifold

John

The Marina B series inlet manifold is cast iron and incorporated with the exhaust manifold in one unit.

BMC/BL did produce a separate single carb inlet manifold for the MGB for the US market though.

I can loan a Marina manifold to assess if it helps?

Hi John,

May I ask which ECU you are using to EFI the 'A' and 'B' series engines as I only know of one that has the ability to do the job?
