Yes it is a very good job done on the car, I am more than happy with it. As expected it failed the MOT for various reasons, I gave the chap a list of things I knew were wrong with it, turns out I only missed a jacking point! So with that in mind it would have failed on
Brake Servo failure
Handbrake weak
Emissions
Exhaust blowing
Nearside steering rack play (never got round to getting that bush fitted)!
Jacking point corroded

Emissions is an interesting one, the engine needs a service as it will splutter and stall unless it is running reeking of petrol. This is probably why I am putting £200+ in the tank monthly although once the service has been done then the car is pretty much completed.

As for the servo I am not too sure what has happened, it worked completely fine before removal but once it was refitted it failed to work since so there may be a wanted thread for one appearing soon!

Cheers!

Looking good. Very nice repair  What servo is fitted? I have one here from a mk3. I was going to fit it to my girlfriends car but their different to mk1's.

Hi, thanks for the offer! I am unsure of the part numbers as they have long rubbed away. I think they may be the same between the 1300 and 1700 Mk3 though. I have a picture of sorts from my one so you may be able to gather if it is the same or not.
Cheers

Did you still need a new passenger side indicator unit? I've a brand new one I've no use for if you need it.

Yeh, that's the one.. duel circuit. It should have a rubber seal between the master cylinder and servo. Can't fit single line master to these which is why I have no use for it.

Hi, that is great. I will see what the garage says when they take a look and if I need to replace it I shall drop you a message. Ben, thanks for the offer, I managed to get an indicator unit the other week from a car parts shop. Last one thay had though so I better not break another ;)
Cheers!
