Used a Maestro setup in he end which looks same as Metro pic David attached, had to modify the switch holder to fit at the end of the barrel but works perfectly when held in by the anchor screw on the barrel. Should have taken some photos for you to see sorry but it does work with a small bit ...

wow bit expensive for my budget I'll hang on for a bit to see what turns up.

Managed to get key out after a fight and thats never gonna work again, so got barrel out but cant find any for sale so far that match. The casing has NEIMAN 005 on it.
Any help would be appreciated

Yea your right Dave sounds knackered anyway, I will let wd40 soak a bit more overnight and try bit more force tomorrow. Do you know if the ignition barrels are common with others or are they Marina specific mines a MK3.?

Having a slight problem today after returning home, went to turn ignition off which was very notchy but managed to switch off but now the key will not come out at all. Tried wd40 but no luck cant budge it at all. Any ideas anyone.

Steering rack back on feels much better and no knocking noise first time since I had the car! Hooray! Thought id better check that side for any hidden damage or creases, nothing obvious though it may have had a new wing as that wing is a lot less rust? Went to change the internal bush on steering rack and bush just would not go in. Gave up trying with rack on the car so took it off and :o found the reason straight away. My car must have been in a decent shunt before and the rack was bent! No wonder the steering felt well not quite right all these ...

Hello All.
After wrapping my Marina up for the winter looking over it have found a few problems that need fixing before its new MOT. Noticed all the oil out of the diff is in a pool underneath! and after starting 1st time the exhaust is blowing by the ring clamp by the manifold. So not too bad for 6 ...
