rear screen rubber coupe
So been having a job getting one of these and in the end having talked to east Kent trims I sent off the old one to them for patan and thay sent back the best mach but I still had to cut it down I have some picture of how I made it fit but can't make them go on the screen but give me your email and I will send them to you
Re: rear screen rubber coupe
Hi Craig, Thanks for getting back to me today regarding the above, just wanted to confirm the screen rubber they sent you as I'm sure someone said mk3 Ford Escort front but when I contacted Kent trims they said you had used a mk2? so just a bit confused that's why I wanted to check with you!
I'll forward my e mail address to you if you would kindly send pics and if anyone else can confirm which one has been used before please, One of my coupes is getting near completion so will need it soon,
Got pics of the coupe but not sure how to post pics if anyone can advise please, Thanks
Andy

Re: rear screen rubber coupe
I was looking at a mk2 cortina rear window the other day thinking that might work too?..
If a link was changed to "ebay linky" then that was probably Sam, because she's sad..

Re: rear screen rubber coupe
Just use the MK3 escort front rubber, cut in half and spliced together. . Any competent Windscreen tech should be able to help.

Re: rear screen rubber coupe
Its just a filler strip

Hi JoshJoshWard wrote:Does the SDL/TC windscreen trim fit in the MK3 Escort rubber then?
I believe that as long as it has the filler strip groove you can make the original stainless trim fit, but its a struggle with the original to get it in let alone the wrong rubber!
beniboyz I've a competent screen fitter to do the job just trying to get best info before we start! do you meen cut rubber in half? ie top and bottom and splice together? or just cut the top and shut? I guess the only way is to get one and try but there was a bit of confusion whether it was mk1 or mk2 Escort?
Cheers for now Andy
