Wow, quite a substantial difference in the bottom joint and where the caliper mounts.

UK leg (courtesy of Kilroy) vs Aussie leg.beniboyz wrote:Wow, quite a substantial difference in the bottom joint and where the caliper mounts.
Other Aussie differences are the "I-beam" has been turned 90 degrees, and the steering arm curves up (the rack was raised 30mm iirc).

Re: 6 cylinder Marina upright,disc,hub
I took them to work & gave them a sandblast to get rid of grease & build up,that saved 3kgs.

Good solution Ben.
Will UK trunnions and top ball joints fit or will you be using Aussie ones?

Looks like the trunions are gonna have to be Aussie spec. Not sure about the ball joints.

Ball joints are supposed to be the same.
Can you get new trunnion shaft & sleeve kits ?
These uprights were apparently used in the South African v8 rally car.

Re: 6 cylinder Marina upright,disc,hub
We don't have sleeve kits over here. They do a larger trunion kit that has its own sleeve that would "repair" a UK leg. They wouldn't suit the Aussie one I wouldn't think. Unless it could be fitted without its sleeve.. Interesting thought..dazza2623 wrote:Ball joints are supposed to be the same.
